Pentalys Energy joins as partner in the consortium of FME BATTERY (Centre for Environment-friendly Energy Research focused on batteries), Norway's leading national research centre for next-generation battery technologies. The acceptance marks a significant step for Pentalys as it joins a group of leading industrial and academic partners working together to advance battery research and build a competitive Norwegian battery value chain.
Centre Director Hanne Flåten Andersen welcomed Pentalys Energy into the consortium: "We are very pleased to welcome Pentalys Energy as a partner in FME BATTERY. With their forward-looking focus on next-generation battery concepts such as Li-S, Pentalys strengthens our shared vision of building a resilient, competitive, and sustainable Norwegian battery value chain."
For Pentalys Energy, membership in FME BATTERY provides access to a collaborative research network, and a broad community of battery scientists and industry partners. It further validates the company's technology direction and strengthens its position within the Norwegian and European battery ecosystem as it continues to advance its lithium-sulfur materials towards commercial scale.
